Saturn enters Pisces 2023

07 MARCH 2023

Saturn has been in Saturn-ruled signs for the past five years- A period of time that comes every 25 or so years when the God of Time marches through Capricorn and Aquarius. So as it enters Pisces, it may begin to feel weakened in its ability to express itself so confidently. Over the next 2-3ish years, we’ll feel a shift in the energy of Saturn, the planet known for its humbling and boundary-enforcing nature. This shift may result in a temporary decrease in Saturn's strong over our lives, potentially leading to both misperceptions and unforeseen moments of brilliance. While this may seem daunting, it is important to remember that periods of change and upheaval often lead to growth and new opportunities. This shift in Saturn's energy may provide us with a chance to explore new perspectives and ways of being, allowing us to tap into our own inner wisdom and creativity. Embracing this change, while sometimes challenging, may ultimately lead to a more fulfilled and embodied Saturn.

I could spent a long time speaking on Saturn in its domiciles- How it’s been an empowered and discerning ruler, infusing our headspaces with humbling wisdom and gentle reminders of chaos’ necessity… But that’s not why I’m here right now. We’re looking forward, into Saturns long-awaited ingress into Pisces. The last time it was in this sign of The Fishes was during the mid 90’s, FYI…

SATURN IN PISCES TRANSIT

Pisces is a zodiac sign that is traditionally associated with femininity, intuition, grace, and a propensity to effortlessly slip into a dreamy, aesthetic state of mind. Pisces is regarded as a fluid sign, representing the mutable quality of water, which is adaptable and can take the shape of its container. It is said that planets in this sign are propelled by imagination, compassion, empathy, and intuition, often influenced by Pisces’ tendency to be deeply connected to the spiritual and mystical side of life.

During the time when Saturn moves through Pisces, we experience a shift in energy. Saturn's typical cutting and restricting tendencies are subdued, allowing us to be more open to unexpected possibilities. We are encouraged to embrace our creative and artistic side, to explore our dreams and connect with our inner selves. It’s a time to tap into our intuition and to let our imagination run wild. This is a time when we can be more in tune with our emotions and the emotions of those around us, allowing us to be more empathetic and understanding. It is a time to let go of the past and move forward with an open heart and an open mind.

As Saturn transits through Pisces, we may experience a range of emotions that drive us towards seeking knowledge. This knowledge can be used to inspire positive changes in society, as we become more aware of the needs of others. This transit can also foster a greater sense of empathy and compassion within us, as we become more attuned to the emotions of those around us. However, we must also be aware of the potential pitfalls of this transit. Pisces, with its fluid and open-hearted nature, can be vulnerable to deception or illusion. As we navigate this transit, we must remain grounded and vigilant, lest we be taken in by false promises, misleading information, or things that instinctively go against our intuition.

PISCES IS RULED BY JUPITER

Saturn in Pisces will be under the rule of Jupiter. Jupiter, who is in Aries at the moment, is providing Saturn with some ambitious inspiration. The combination of Saturn and Jupiter is interesting; In a way, they’re archetypal opposites working towards the same goal with distinctly contrasted approaches. With another perspective, they can be seen as allies, compadres, and teammates.

Jupiter is a wise consultant, advising us to prioritize faith and optimism in our perspective of the world. Saturn, on the other hand, rules both boundaries and the possibilities that lie beyond them. The combination of Jupiter's pioneering spirit and Saturn's fluid discernment can lead to an excitable, intuitive, and creative sense of faith or optimism. This can help us redefine what "outside the box" means for us, without being limited by any preconceived notions of what "the box" should look like…
