A “Hellenistic” practice can be simply put as theorizing about & considering what ancient philosophers were understanding from the motions of the heavens.

You know those memes about your Sun sign being ‘adventurous’ or ‘sensitive’? Have you ever wondered where those lists of adjectives came from? So did ancient Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Indians, Chinese, and so on, and so forth; By getting deeply in touch with the Earth, ourselves, and Source, the Universe speaks to us, and meanings become clear.

There’s an entire story that plays out in this realm; The planets and stars mirror the endless cycles we experience and thus can be understood and ‘read’ like a language. By falling in love with the language of astrology, I’ve fallen more in love with the ebbs and flows, the highs and lows, and the things that I don’t know. I have no goals for this endeavor- My intention is to keep learning about myself and the Universe, and to learn with you.

Thank you for sharing this journey with me.

How i See Things

I, presumably like yourself, at some point had some interaction with astrology that came at such a time & place in my life where it just.. hit me. It struck a chord that reignited an orchestral chorus in my soul; And before I knew it, I was spending all my free hours exploring mine and my loved one’s charts, surfing Cafe Astrology into the wee hours of the morning, and learning about parts of myself, others, & the Universe that my intuition had always known were there, but had never been able to understand like this before.

  • I began learning astrology independently in 2019, and in 2021, I began studies under Adam Elenbaas in his advanced astrology programs.

As of 2023 I’ve grown my practice into offering readings and consults, hosting gatherings, authoring blogs, and merrily consuming trusted guru knowledge.

  • I practice a blend of Hellenistic and modern astrology. Hellenistic looks at the philosophical roots that the ancients concluded from studying the cosmos, while modern astrology focuses on psychology and personality.

  • When looking at the chart, the ancient and the modern come together in a really unique way. The result are long and short-term outlooks on lifelong energy cycles, with the conscious “why” motive appearing in the psychology of the chart.

how i practice…

  • Meditate

In the stillness and quiet, clarity comes. During my personal practice and looking at charts, the messages and nudges I receive lead me to ultimately have humbling moments of reflection with the stars.

  • Learn

My brain gets plenty of exercise between continuing formal education and working with charts. Every experience deepens the insight, and that’s what I mean when I say I learn with you..

  • Unwind

    Neptune conjunct Sun, anyone?
Anyone? I lose myself in things like nature, art, cooking, and writing; It’s in these spaces I find the flow and confidence (and celestial insights) that I bring with me everywhere.

  • Witness

Astrology is a moving meditation. I can’t help but see the archetypes in everything and everyone; Part of my path is to observe, understand, & grow into relationship with every energy I encounter.

In iterating what it means to practice by witnessing, I used the phrases “moving meditation”, and described myself as striving to be “in relationship with everything”; I’ve since written a reflection that elaborates on this idea, and lends more insight into the philosophical melting pot that has become my esoteric outlook.
