Full Moon in Aquarius 2022
Full Moons are the culmination of the Moon cycle; New Moons set the tone for the cycle by virtue of the celestial happenings at the time of the Sun & Moon’s conjunction. These energies will then be played out in an almost narrative sort of way. Activities or events will take place, begging for deeper development, and by the full Moon the energy is high (this we all know); There’s a climactic release, usually involving some type of realization, integration, action, or shift, whether it be conscious or not.
This Full Moon has culminated in Aquarius alongside Saturn. Kronos, the God of Time so to speak, brings us ‘checks’ and pauses, reminders of our limits and of time itself; Whether they be whispers or screams, Saturn’s voice is a reminder of mortality, and the conservation that we need to navigate this realm. Where do we want to say “no”, and why?
And the Moon in Saturn in the airy sign of Aquarius, one that’s adept at mindful detachment (usually for the sake of perpetuating individualism or freedom) will be opposite the Sun in Leo; The Sun here wants to shine! It yearns to be recognized and loved, and to be able to spread mutual recognition and love out into the world freely. That’s one very large example of Leo’s pride and confidence; It’s a sign of inhibition and strength, leadership and ambition.
These particular placements on the Leo/Aquarius axis might bring up very personal feelings of self-worth. It might ask us to reevaluate how we’re showing up for ourselves in the eyes of others: How could you feel more authenticity in the way you offer yourself? Why are you doing the things that you’re working on right now? Do you love them? Do they love you back? Is the role you’re playing serving a higher good? Have your emotions gotten out of control, or are they too ego-driven? Maybe the opposite’s true and you’ve felt especially cold or distant, needing to relate with or tap in more with others in some area of your life?
The Leo/Aquarius axis makes a square to Taurus, where Uranus is currently transiting. The Sun perfecting its square to Uranus feels like a personal revolution (and a particularly stable one, leaning on Uranus’ current earthy solidarity). You should always be mindful of Uranus’ influence being over-bearing or irrational, but the Sun perfecting its square to Uranus feels like a particularly stable personal revolution, leaning on Uranus’ current earthy solidarity.
At this same time all this is happening, Mars in Taurus will be making a sextile with Neptune in Pisces. This could make Mars feel ambitious and trusting, giving our will to act a sense of lightness, dreaminess, or maybe idealism. All these feelings help the revolutionary Uranus square gain some direction and humility; You might feel particularly tapped into the collective’s needs while you’re figuring out what you love, how you feel, and what to do about it all. How to re-align your actions with something bigger than yourself might be especially clear.
The area of life that you’ll feel this energy in depends on what houses Leo/Aquarius lie in in your chart- Look there for more answers, and use your intuition during this climax to guide you through reevaluating what it really means to offer yourself authentically while experiencing freedom.
I am exploring what it means to be free.
I am strong in my beliefs, and humble when it comes time to re-evalutae them.
I am proud of my individuality, and others love & embrace all the things that make me, “me”.

**In my writings, you may notice pronouns for the planets being used interchangeably (ex: it/its + he/his). In traditional ancient astrology, all planets (except Mercury) are associated with a masculine or feminine (yin/yang) energy; These are simply archetypal concepts that help us better understand the nature of the cosmos and should not be taken as any means of division between the gendered energies. The hope is to embrace and embody both energies that live within us all.
