Project / Brand Name: Lake Geneva House of Music

spotlight: Lake Geneva Taco Fest

Type of Work: Event Vendor Operations & Digital Relations

Over the course of the venue’s outdoor event season, I managed vendor onboarding for multiple seasonal markets and festivals.

Featured here is my work for the 5th Annual Taco Fest, our largest event, which drew 40+ vendors and 5,000+ patrons over three days.

Deliverables:

  • Digital application system (built via Cognito Forms)

  • Automated email comms and invoicing

  • Vendor management workflow

  • Social media vendor calls

Tone(s) / Voice:

Friendly and community-oriented while using as clear verbiage as possible (*see note).

Must-Haves:

  • Fine print: safety and compliance information, dates and times for vendors, contact information, etc

Results:

  • +25% YOY increase in vendor registration & attendance

  • +25% vendors capacity reached in 1st week

  • Reduced organizer back-and-forth

Notes:

*One challenge with coordinating vendors in this region is the heavy presence of ESL/ Spanish speakers in a primarily English-speaking community. One goal of these communications was to streamline digital processes to optimize the organizers’ workflow by minimizing the need for explanatory phone calls and emails.
